Bernadine A. Petzold, PhD., LPC, PCPC, CQTP

Dr. Bernadine Petzold has been in practice since 1990. She holds a Doctorate in Psychotherapy and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Michigan. She earned her doctorate at Walden University which is North Central Accredited. She has earned a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from The University of Michigan.

She is a lifetime educator, holistic psychotherapist, national and local presenter, workshop facilitator, personal and professional life coach, written and presented on a variety of topics for men and women, couples, adolescents in areas such as living with addiction, women’s issues, emotional health and wellness, sexuality and so on.

Areas of Specialization

Dr. Petzold has been working for over 30 years in the areas of trauma, addiction, issues resulting from childhood sexual abuse, emotional and physical abuse, anger management, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, life planning, life transitions, adolescent issues, conflict mediation and resolution, parenting issues, women’s issues, sexual identity, self esteem, issues specific to gay and lesbian individuals and couples.

She works with all ages including adolescents.

Dr. Petzold is a private practice clinician who is not affiliated with any other clinic or any type of agency. Therefore, she is able to offer a variety of affordable psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, groups and families.

Dr. Petzold accepts direct payment at the time of service and consumers are given a receipt for payment of services which will have all the necessary information for insurance reimbursement should your insurance company cover a Doctor of Psychology or a Licensed Professional Counselor with The State of Michigan.

Dr. Petzold also offers a sliding fee scale for those individuals who do not have insurance coverage or those consumers who choose not to utilize their insurance for any reason. Dr. Petzold provides a Good Faith Estimate for all those who request one.
