Women In Recovery
Bernie Petzold
You’ve sought recovery. Addiction had been consuming your life. Now you have new hope. You attend your meetings. Still you are looking for additional support and tools to enhance your recovery. This new way of living has a whole new set of skills to be learned and practiced. Here are some suggestions:
1. Select a support team who have similar goals to yours.
2. Discover new depth in your living in recovery through intimate sharing with this group.
3. Get feedback about situations in your life that offer a relapse away from recovery.
4. Practice skills for your life that make your recovery more successful.
5. Discuss new ways of thinking about your addiction and living without it.
6. Read about life skills that advance your life.
7. Journal about your past to gain new awareness about the situation you were in.
8. Feel new strength within yourself that goes with you into your daily experience.
9. Love and be loved by people on the same journey.
10. Have others to lean on through difficult times.
11. Find new hope and happiness in recovery.
I encourage you to stay on your path of recovery.
